At the ZOO!

About two weeks ago we decided to take a day trip to the NC Zoo....and we had a blast. The weather was fantastic, the crowds weren't overwhelming and it was the perfect way to spend a Saturday.

We saw the lions on the way to visit the giraffes. With the tickets we purchased we were able to go out onto the deck and feed them.




Then we stopped by to see what the flamingos were up to....




Do you see the seal in the lower right portion of the picture - Gordon had the best time watching them (Side note - there was about a 30 minute period we spent around the seal exhibit frantically looking for our camera that had apparently fallen out of my pocket. Thankfully a wonderful family returned it to us when they recognized Gordon as we walked by.....whew!)




Then we saw the polar bear who was sleeping



He was this big!!!!!



We decided to go look for more bears.....



That one looked a little hungry, so Gordon decided to say "Bye-bye Bear"



The little man was not a fan of the carousel ....here he is post ride letting us know he was "all done."



So off we went to find the elephants.....



We're looking forward to visiting the zoo again in the future. The exhibits were terrific, we had no problem getting around with Gordon's stroller and he loved every minute of it. I highly recommend it! Check out more info about the zoo at www.nczoo.org
