Taking a walk in Daddy's shoes

I discovered I hadn't posted this video yet. Gordon spent some time walking in Daddy's shoes over the holidays.

Who would have thought?

Perhaps it is the tricked out name tag?

The inflection in her voice?

The cute little dog that she has trained?

The exception skills she has a tour guide?

We're not sure what it is about Flo....but there is something about those Progressive commercials that draws Gordon in and captures his attention regardless of whatever else is going on.


I caught this one evening when I was actually watching a show on DVR and rewound it (much to Gordon's delight) and BONUS - it was back to back commercials. Who would have thought an insurance commercial would grab his attention...Gabe and I have both noticed it on several occasions and my mom commented on it when she kept him for the day last week.

Now if only I could get a recording of Flo saying "Don't touch the dog's food."

So today was one of those not so great but not incredibly terrible days...just one that you could pretty much sum up as "I've had better" Anyway this evening, as "luck" would have it (can you sense the sarcasm) Gabe got held up at work unexpectedly. So Gordon and I were home and both not feeling too great and dinner didn't go smoothly...pretty much blah for both of us. We headed downstairs to veg out and I decided to watch a Maroon 5 concert I had previously recorded. My friend Joli and I went to see Maroon 5 this past weekend and I have been on an all play Maroon 5 kick for quite sometime - my co-workers have accepted that and I appreciate them for it. Anyway looks like my taste has rubbed off on the little man, because check him out:


Not only did he pick up on my awesome taste in music; he'll be a hit on the dance floor.

This whole event lasted less than 30 seconds but put a smile on my face and absolutely made my day! Thanks Gordon!!!!!

A new favorite game

We are enjoying our new deck and Gordon has been walking all over the place on it...we're thrilled he is enjoying it and happy we made the change because there is NO WAY we would have let him out on our old one. One of his new favorite games is to get sprayed with the hose. It cracks him (and us) up!
